DIY Wedding: Hessian & Lace Invitations
You will need:
Hessian fabric
Lace trimming
Wooden hearts
Brown string
Cream card
Brown Card
A5 Envelopes
Guillotine
Spray Mount
Glue
Fabric scissors
Step 1:
Print your invitations copy onto the cream card… have a play around with fonts and decide which you like the best… I have used ‘American Typewriter’.
Step 2:
Cut the cream card (with print) down to 12.5 x 17.5cm
Cut the brown card down to 14.5 x 21cm
Step 3:
Stick the cream card to the brown
Step 4:
Cut the hessian 45 x 21cm
Step 5:
Lay the lace trim along the length of the hessian fabric and cut it to size. Then Glue in place.
Step 6:
Once dry, Place the two pieces of card in the middle of the hessian
Step 7:
Iron the hessian flat (REMOVE THE card before you iron)
Step 8:
Tie the string around the fabric… wrap a couple of times for effect.
Step 9:
Add the wooden hearts.
